Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BandAid Poster ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. Simple as that.

2. The Service

BandAid Poster is an AI-powered poster generation platform. You provide creative direction (band name, style, colors, event info), and our AI generates custom poster artwork. We use third-party AI image generation services to produce your posters.

3. Content Policy

This is the big one. Our AI generation services have content policies, and so do we. You agree not to use the Service to generate content that is:

  • Pornographic, sexually explicit, or depicting nudity
  • Depicting graphic violence, gore, or torture
  • Promoting hate speech, discrimination, or harassment targeting any group
  • Depicting illegal activities or encouraging illegal behavior
  • Infringing on trademarks, copyrights, or the likeness of real people without permission
  • Containing personal information or doxxing material
  • Promoting self-harm, substance abuse, or dangerous activities
  • Designed to deceive, defraud, or mislead

Our AI providers automatically filter requests that violate these policies. When a request is rejected, you'll know. We also know. See the enforcement section below.

4. Content Policy Enforcement & Strike System

We take content violations seriously. Here's how the strike system works:

Strikes

Every time you submit a prompt that gets rejected by our content filters, you receive a strike. Strikes are tracked per account (or per IP for anonymous users).

Soft Ban (24-Hour Timeout)

After 5 content violation strikes, your access to the poster generator is suspended for 24 hours. During this period, you cannot generate any posters. After 24 hours, your strikes reset and you can use the Service again. Think of it as a cooling-off period.

Hard Ban (Permanent Suspension)

If you trigger a soft ban more than once within a 30-day period, your account is permanently suspended. This means you've been warned, given a timeout, come back, and done it again. At that point, we're done.

Appeals

If you believe your ban was issued in error, you can contact us at support@bandaidposter.app to appeal. We review appeals on a case-by-case basis. False positives happen — we get it. But a pattern of violations is a pattern.

5. Accounts & Subscriptions

Free users can generate up to 3 posters per month without an account. Band Pro subscribers ($15/month) get 30 posters per month, priority feed placement, show alert inclusion, and a commercial license.

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Don't share your account. If we detect account sharing or abuse, we may suspend the account.

6. Intellectual Property

Your content: You retain rights to the creative direction you provide (band names, event details, etc.). AI-generated images are subject to the terms of the underlying AI providers.

Commercial use: Band Pro subscribers receive a commercial license to use generated posters for promotion, merchandise, and print. Free-tier posters are for personal use only.

Our stuff: The BandAid Poster brand, logo, interface, and underlying technology are ours. Don't copy, reverse engineer, or redistribute them.

7. Rate Limits

Free users are limited to 3 generation requests per minute to prevent abuse. Band Pro subscribers have higher limits. Automated scraping, bot usage, or bulk generation outside of the intended interface is prohibited.

8. Availability & Liability

The Service is provided "as is." We don't guarantee 100% uptime, perfect image quality, or that the AI will nail your band's aesthetic on the first try. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost gigs due to missing posters.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access at any time for violations of these terms. You can delete your account at any time by contacting us. Subscription refunds follow our cancellation policy — cancel before your next billing cycle to avoid charges.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We'll make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.
